I may only write on planes
First draft
I’ve been invited to write more, but I can honestly only write in verses. I don’t care for long sentences. They’re boring, they’re dull. Why would you write without rhyme?
I’ve found myself writing on planes.
It’s only up here that the most intense of words come out of me. I have some hypotheses, the following reigns: There’s no Wi-Fi, no distractions, a view. Alone with me is the only thing I can be.
I’d love this peace on solid ground. I’ll work on building my ground-plane. It may replace the air-plane eventually.
I do love writing. I have someone to thank for it. They know who they are. Maybe one day I’ll master the art, the craft, the ritual. Until that day comes, I may only write on planes.
